The choir was invited to a Luau at Hickam Air Force Base. I knew Fred would be there and I liked him a lot so I dressed in my favorite Hawaiian sarong. It was pink with an embossed gold and lavender orchid. It was a flattering dress and I loved it. I was hoping Fred would love it too.
The evening began with flirting between Fred and myself, and I thought things were going well. But before I knew what happened, Fred and I were fighting. Our disagreement centered on where we should sit. We cooled our heels by sitting separately for a while.
I watched the entertainment, Hawaiian music and hula dancers. Eventually, Fred began talking to me again and before I knew it, we were dancing together and becoming very romantic. We danced cheek to cheek, often kissing. I was falling hard and I was crazy about Fred, at least for that moment.
It was all very romantic, but before it was time to go home, we managed to have another fight. Once again it was about something very trivial. We both stomped off to our separate area's. Even though we were angry with one another, we kept glancing at each other. We left separately, but throughout the night and the following day I day-dreamed about my romantic evening with Fred. My day-dreaming made me smile.
